Job summary

Rinehart Racing Inc. in Fletcher, NC seeks a Lead CNC Machinist to own a machining area from programming through production. This hands-on role requires running parts, troubleshooting issues, and guiding shop-floor teammates to meet production targets.

You will program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes, optimize cycles, read blueprints with GD&T, and collaborate with engineering to improve processes. Leadership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC machining experience
• Strong experience with CNC milling and turning
• CNC programming experience (Mastercam)
• Ability to lead others and take ownership of production output
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T
• Experience with setups, tooling, and process improvement

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes
• Lead daily activity within an assigned machining area
• Optimize cycle times, tooling, and workflows
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues
• Train and support machinists and operators
• Read and interpret blueprints, models, and work instructions
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Select speeds, feeds, tooling, and workholding
• Maintain organized tooling, programs, and setups
• Work with engineering and production to improve processes
