Job summary

Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Advanced Machinist Lead to head the Machining Center of Excellence in Reading, PA. This role focuses on leading daily operations, mentoring machinists, and driving precision in complex parts.

You will program, set up, and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines, perform inspections, optimize workflows, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to achieve delivery and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience, including programming, setup and operation.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and Mastercam; 5-axis programming.
• Experience leading a machining team or as a lead machinist.

Responsibilities

• Organize daily machining activities and manage workloads.
• Make data-driven decisions to support production and quality goals.
• Coordinate with engineering, production and quality teams for project execution.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Promote safety and support a zero-incident culture.
• Program CNC machines for new parts with high precision and complex features.
• Perform first-article and in-process inspections and adjust programs for quality.
• Monitor orders to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with business goals.
• Utilize ERP to record job details, time and production data.
• Lead by example with integrity, respect and collaboration.
