Job summary

Mitsubishi Chemical America is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to lead our Machining Center of Excellence in Reading, PA. You will oversee daily operations, mentor machinists, and drive improvements across programming, setup, and inspection to meet stringent quality standards.

You will collaborate with engineering, production, and quality, program high-precision parts, and ensure on-time delivery. The role requires 5+ years in CNC, proficiency in SolidWorks and Mastercam, and strong

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience including program writing, setup, and operation.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and Mastercam; 5-axis programming.
• Experience leading machinists or teams.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret tolerances accurately.
• Strong problem solving and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily machining activities and optimize workload to ensure efficient flow.
• Make data-driven decisions to meet production and quality goals.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality teams for project execution.
• Identify process enhancements to reduce waste and cycle times.
• Promote safety and adherence to all policies and the zero incidents goal.
• Program CNC machines for new parts with high precision.
• Perform first-article and in-process inspections and adjust programs as needed.
• Monitor orders to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with business objectives.
• Record job details, time, and production data in the ERP system.
• Lead by example and support teammates in 5S and quality standards.
