Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an experienced Lead CNC Machinist to drive shop floor operations and provide hands-on technical guidance. You will balance complex setup and machining tasks on multi-axis equipment with floor leadership and mentoring of apprentices.

The role emphasizes process optimization, strict tolerances, FAI and in-process checks, and adherence to 5S and safety standards. Compensation targets $89,000–$95,000 with daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience with supervisory exposure.
• Proficient reading blueprints and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with multi-axis CNC milling and live-tooling lathes.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup and operation of 3- to 5-axis CNC mills and lathes.
• Advise on tooling, fixtures, and process improvements to reduce cycle times.
• Mentor junior machinists and ensure quality through FAI and in-process checks.
• Maintain 5S, safety compliance, and machine maintenance schedules.
