Job summary

Snelling Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Lead Machinist to join a growing Louisville manufacturing company. This opportunity offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and the chance to lead a skilled machining team in a precision manufacturing environment.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM. You will lead machinists, set up and optimize CNC lathes and mills, develop CAM programs, read GD&T drawings, and perform precision inspections to ensure top quality.

Qualifications

Experience leading a machinist team in a precision manufacturing environment.
Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mills.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting GD&T blueprints/drawings.
Proficiency in CAM programming and optimization of CNC programs.
Ability to inspect parts using precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

Lead and support a team of machinists while upholding safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC lathes and milling machines.
Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM software.
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and technical drawings.
Perform precision inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment.
Assist with tooling selection and optimization.
