Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. in Devens, MA, is seeking a Supervisor, Machining Operations to oversee daily operations, productivity, and staff. Reporting to Manufacturing Engineering, this role helps shape workforce requirements and process timing while ensuring safe, efficient production.

The position is Monday–Friday with a split shift and occasional weekend hours, requiring hands-on leadership in a fast-paced, regulated environment and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a CNC manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading a team within a CNC machining environment.
• Experience manufacturing for a regulated industry.
• Proficient with ERP systems (EPICOR) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and train the machining staff in the assigned area.
• Lead, coach, and support the team to reach maximum throughput.
• Conduct daily standup meetings and report progress against targets.
• Ensure materials, tools, and documents are available for each shift.
• Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Enforce OSHA standards and drive Lean/5S projects.
• Perform basic in-process inspections or QC tasks as needed.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and train operators in problem solving.
