Job summary

Entegris in Aurora, IL is seeking an Engineering Technician IV on the 2nd shift (2pm–10pm CST) to join the Pads Manufacturing Engineering team onsite. This role acts as the most experienced technical resource, providing advanced troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and process support for CMP Pads manufacturing operations.

You will partner with Engineering to drive continuous improvement, sustain product quality, mentor less experienced technicians, and lead root-cause investigations and DOE

Qualifications

• 5+ years in operating and maintaining mechanical manufacturing equipment.
• Advanced troubleshooting with CNC equipment and motors.
• Ability to interpret SPC charts; basic Six Sigma and DOE concepts.
• Strong safety practices and ability to lead safety initiatives.
• Proficiency in English, MS Office, and email.
• Flexible to support the second shift and occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical guidance on shift.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment and process issues for manufacturing machinery.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Operate pilot plant and production equipment; write CNC programs.
• Conduct visual inspections and material characterization; support product dispositions.
• Support DOE trials and scale-ups; assist with equipment installations and qualifications.
• Provide training to Operators and less experienced Technicians.
• Interpret SPC data and apply Six Sigma/DOE tools.
• Maintain SAP-based material and inventory transactions; keep area safe and organized.
