Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited Certified Medical Assistant Program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
• Certification: Required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising the work and performance of clinical medical assistants, including input towards performance reviews and corrective actions.
• Oversee and train new and existing staff with the RN Manager.
• Perform responsibilities of a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant under the direction of a physician.
• Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing and coding information for insurance purposes.
• Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
