Job summary

UT Health East Texas Physicians seeks a day shift, full-time Rural Health Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Henderson, TX.

The CMA will provide clinical and administrative support in a clinic-based care team led by a physician or APP, including EMR data entry, patient prep, vital signs, and coordination of care. Strong EMR and BLS are required; basic duties include scheduling and patient communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program.
• Current CMA or RMA certification.
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Enters, maintains, and reports medical history, medical coding, and claims using EMR.
• Support patient visits by chart prep and scrub, greeting patients, escorting to exam room, taking vital signs, and relaying information to support visit and treatment.
