Job summary

Trellix seeks a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead design and development of a high-performance Cloud Threat Detection Platform. You will architect and implement robust submission pipelines, secure AWS infrastructure, and modern web interfaces for analysts.

Expect collaboration across AI tooling, security, and full-stack technologies in a hybrid work model with occasional office presence in Frisco, TX.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep AWS cloud architecture knowledge for large-scale systems.
• Proficient in Python, Django/FastAPI; strong debugging skills.
• Experience with high-throughput microservices and data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Linux, shell scripting, and security best practices.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and IaC (GitHub Actions, Terraform, CDK).
• Knowledge of modern web UI tech (React, HTML/CSS/JS).
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, compliance, and multi-region data residency.
• Experience integrating AI tooling into development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the Cloud Threat Detection Platform end-to-end.
• Lead high-throughput submission pipelines and microservices.
• Build full-stack web UI dashboards for analysts.
• Architect secure AWS infrastructure including VPCs, ECS/EKS, and security groups.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate code development and reviews.
• Enforce secure API boundaries and identity mechanisms.
• Ensure compliance with multi-region data residency and SDL.
