Optimum seeks a Lead Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security across our cloud environments. You will lead security initiatives, collaborate with IT operations and development, and mentor a team of cloud security engineers.

The role emphasizes governance, risk management, and proactive threat detection in public cloud setups, with strong emphasis on automation and cost-aware security strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Information Technology.
• 5-7 years in cloud security engineering roles, with a focus on public cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security posture management, vulnerability management, network detection and response, SIEM, DLP, WAF, CASB, and endpoint security solutions.
• Proficiency in IAM, VPC, Zero Trust, IaC, security groups, KMS, SDLC, CI/CD, and network security.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud security architectures aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Deploy and configure cloud security tools to protect cloud infrastructure.
• Develop monitoring systems for detection and response to security incidents in cloud environments.
• Implement automation to streamline security processes and policy enforcement.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS and ISO/NIST standards and maintain documentation.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to cloud security engineers.
