Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer, Cloud to design and manage secure, scalable cloud solutions across our Azure environments. You will drive infrastructure provisioning, governance, and automation using Terraform, Ansible, and Harness, while improving performance and cost efficiency.

The role emphasizes DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC practices, with collaboration across cross-functional teams. Hybrid work and travel to MA/CT/NH may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related experience in computer science or engineering.
• Experience with Azure governance and security controls.
• 8–10 years in technical engineering roles with architecture and deployment responsibilities.
• Awareness of AI/ML/Agentic AI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design Azure Landing Zone hub-and-spoke topology and cost management.
• Implement governance with Azure Policy, RBAC, and Azure AD.
• Architect secure, scalable networks with VWAN and VPNs.
• Build IaC with Terraform/Ansible and CI/CD with Harness.
• Develop automation scripts in Bash/PowerShell/Python.
• Collaborate using GitHub, Jira, and Artifactory.
