AVANGRID SERVICE COMPANY is seeking a Lead Engineer, Cloud and Generative AI to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure. You will collaborate with data scientists to deploy AI models and ensure security, reliability, and high performance of AI systems.

The role requires a strong background in cloud engineering, AI, and IaC with Terraform, plus mentoring responsibilities and ongoing learning in AWS, Azure, and GenAI technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing and implementing large scale complex network solutions.
• Three or more years of AI experience; strong ML/AI model proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and manages scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Collaborates with data scientists to deploy and optimize AI models.
• Ensures security, reliability, and performance of cloud-based AI systems.
• Uses Terraform for IaC automation and provisioning.
• Provides technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
• Keeps current with AWS, Azure, and Generative AI developments.
• Troubleshoots and resolves cloud infra and AI deployment issues.
• Documents best practices and procedures.
