Job summary

The Lead Engineer, Cloud and Generative AI at AVANGRID SERVICE COMPANY is the SME responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and Azure to support Generative AI applications. You will work with data scientists to deploy AI models, ensure security and reliability, and mentor team members.

Strong experience in cloud platforms, Terraform, and ML frameworks is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience designing large‑scale network solutions.
• AI experience (3+ years) with ML frameworks.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and Terraform.
• Strong programming in Python/Java/.NET.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and manages scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Collaborates with data scientists to deploy and optimize AI models.
• Ensures security, reliability, and performance of cloud-based AI systems.
• Utilizes Terraform for IaC automation.
• Provides technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
• Remains current with AWS, Azure, and Generative AI advancements.
• Documents best practices, processes, and procedures.
• Supports Generative AI applications with scalable cloud infrastructure.
