Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks an Associate Director, Lead Cloud Architect to lead core technical decisions for the AWS platform and delivery pipelines. You will drive design, development, and automation of critical cloud components, defining standards for IaC, CI/CD, and SecDevOps with security integrated into every stage.

You will mentor teams, own cloud platform productization, and push innovations like Generative AI for code and testing while maintaining strong governance and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS level technical degree (CS or Engineering preferred).
• 10+ years IT/software development experience; 7+ years in large-scale enterprise AWS engineering and DevOps.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python, NodeJS and CloudFormation for production systems.
• GitHub for code management, branching strategies and GitHub Actions/Advanced Security.
• Preferred AWS certifications: Solutions Architect - Professional and/or DevOps Engineer - Professional.
• Product-focused mindset delivering platform capabilities with measurable outcomes.
• Strong technical depth in IAM, network architectures, and troubleshooting distributed cloud systems.

Responsibilities

• Own AWS Landing Zone architecture, high availability, network resilience, cost efficiency.
• Develop and maintain IaC modules; promote GitOps for infrastructure delivery.
• Architect scalable, resilient, cost-efficient cloud-native architectures across enterprise apps.
• Lead secure, high-velocity SDLC with AI/ML integration into pipelines.
• Establish technical standards, review major cloud projects, ensure regulatory compliance.
