Barstow Community Hospital in Barstow, CA is seeking a Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a full-time, on-site role. The CLS will perform a variety of laboratory tests and supervise duties, assisting the Administrative Lab Director.

Required: BA/BS in chemistry or biological sciences, California CLS license and completion of an accredited CLS program with internship. Pay range is $45.69–$70.82 per hour.

Description

This is a working CLS/Laboratory Lead position. In addition to CLS duties, they will also assist the Administrative Lab Director with supervisory duties Following procedures established by the Section Heads and medical directors, a Clinical Laboratory Scientist performs a variety of laboratory tests in many areas of the laboratory, including High Complexity Tests as defined by CLIA. A CLS is responsible for accuracy and reporting of results of application of principles, theories and techniques, professional judgment, computer proficiency, microscopic proficiency, and good communications skills.

Education: BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university with a major in the biological or chemical sciences as required for California State licensure.Completion of an accredited CLS program with requisite internship.

License and Cert: Valid and current California CLS license. Must provide original/original duplicate license upon hire.

PAY RANGE: $45.69 - 70.82 per hour
