Responsibilities

• Oversees all aspects of the daily operations in the laboratory specific section of Specimen Management.
• Provides technical supervision of section and is accountable for the professional conduct and technical performance of personnel within area.
• Develops and coordinates the roll-out of new procedures and/or evaluates new processing methods to offer a high level of performance for pre-analytical testing.
• Develops training techniques for new procedures and maintains training checklists and competencies.
• Trains and coordinates the training of new staff, including program development, orientation, and direction of in-house trainers.
