University of Washington Medicine's Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology invites applications for a Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) Lead on the Phlebotomy & Specimen Processing Services (PSPS) Team at UW Medical Center – Montlake in Seattle, WA. The CLT Lead will supervise daily specimen processing operations, train staff, and oversee safe, efficient workflows.

The role emphasizes leadership, problem solving, and collaboration with the supervisor and manager to ensure high-quality

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent and three (3) years of chemical, clinical, or public health laboratory experience.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
• Additional DLMP Requirement: MA-P certification with WA DOH OR obtain MA-P within 180 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and assign staff work assignments and breaks to maintain smooth workflow.
• Oversee training of new staff and update training materials.
• Direct staff to ensure clean, safe work environment and proper PPE use.
• Perform computer and LIS-related tasks to support billing reconciliation and data integrity.
