Job summary

Clinical Architecture in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Clinical Informaticist to bridge clinical practice and IT, applying healthcare terminology and interoperability to solve health information challenges. You will lead small to medium projects, perform terminology mapping across LOINC, SNOMED CT, RxNorm, ICD, and CPT, and collaborate with Medical and Informatics teams to ensure data accuracy.

The role requires experience in HL7 v2 and FHIR, strong SQL skills, and the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science or another clinical discipline is required.
• 5+ years of recent experience in a clinical informatics role or related field preferred; equivalent demonstrated responsibilities may be considered.
• Strong working knowledge of healthcare data management, clinical informatics, standardized terminologies, semantic interoperability, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to understand their use case and requirements.
• Demonstrate understanding of Symedical and Pivot functionality within domains, including configuration and interdependencies.
• Independently perform terminology mapping and governance across standards such as LOINC, SNOMED CT, RxNorm, ICD, CPT.
• Lead small to medium informatics projects or significant workstreams within larger programs.
• Design solutions for data exchange between EHRs, clinical apps, and client systems using HL7, FHIR, and related approaches.
