  • Research and recommend solutions and/or modeling approaches.
  • Independently perform complex terminology mapping, normalization, and governance activities across standards such as LOINC, SNOMED CT, RxNorm, ICD, and CPT, including identification of gaps and data quality issues.

  • Adapt communication style for clinical, technical, non-technical, client, and leadership audiences; facilitate effective meetings or workshops; build stakeholder relationships; and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Analyze complex data sets using tools such as SQL, Excel, or business intelligence tools to identify trends, root causes, and actionable clinical or operational insights.
  • Mentor junior informaticists on project tasks, terminology practices, data analysis, consulting behaviors, and client engagement expectations within assigned workstreams.
Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recent experience in a clinical informatics role, relevant healthcare IT environment, professional services setting, or biomedical enterprise is preferred; equivalent demonstrated responsibilities may be considered.
  • Strong working knowledge of healthcare data management, clinical informatics, standardized terminologies, semantic interoperability, and data analysis required.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new systems quickly; demonstrated ability to understand system integrations, data flows, and database structures.
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7 v2, FHIR) and their application in laboratory data exchange required.
