Job summary

Children’s Mercy is seeking a Senior Informatics Solutions Engineer to provide leadership and technical support for clinical application systems, including the EHR, across the Health Informatics and IT teams. You will guide medium-size projects from planning through deployment as a technical subject matter expert.

The role emphasizes clinical staff collaboration, documentation, and ongoing optimization of patient care through technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics or related field with 5–7 years in health IT/management.
• Master's degree preferred with 3–5 years in health IT/management.
• Certification in Health Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS or equivalent) within 365 days.
• At least one Epic certification relevant to the department within 120 days; Epic cert if not already.
• CPHIMS (HIMSS) preferred
