The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a climbing arborist to lead crews outdoors in Denver, CO. The role involves direct work planning, tree care, and installing support systems on site. You will be mentored through Davey’s career development program and receive full safety training upon hire.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• 3–5 years of climbing experience.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred pesticide licenses and related certificates.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Tree Worker, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional.

Responsibilities

• Directs crew and equipment and plans and executes assigned work.
• Lead a crew in arboricultural care for clients.
• Apply Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E) process.
• Prune, thin and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees.
• Mentor crew through the Davey Career Development Program.
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

Climbing experience (3-5 yrs)
