The Davey Tree Expert Company in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Climbing Arborist Crew Leader. The role offers $26-$42/hr depending on experience, plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants. The job is outdoors, on-site, with a 25% travel expectation and growth opportunities.

You will lead a crew, perform pruning, install supports, and mentor team members. The office is outdoors with Davey Career Development and safety at its core.

Qualifications

• Lead a climbing arborist crew to deliver arboricultural care.
• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems.
• Ensure safety and project planning on job sites.
• Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment such as chainsaws and aerial lifts.

Responsabilités

• Safely lead a crew delivering arboricultural care for clients.
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood in the canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees.
• Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws and aerial lifts.
