Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist Crew Leader to guide a crew outdoors in Kent, WA. You will direct tree care tasks, ensure safety, and mentor teammates while delivering high-quality arboricultural services to clients.

You'll perform pruning, removal and installation tasks with climbing systems, and participate in ongoing training through Davey Career Development. This is a permanent, full-time on-site role with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Requires love of the outdoors and ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Must complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving courses upon hire.
• Preferred licenses/certifications include pesticide licenses and ISA credentials.

Responsibilities

• Directs crew and equipment to plan and execute assigned arboricultural tasks.
• Lead safely and productively in providing client arboricultural care.
• Follow H.O.P.E. process for hazards, obstacles, planning and equipment.
• Prune, thin and remove deadwood throughout the canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems as needed.
• Remove hazardous trees and mentor crew members through career development.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers and lifts.
