Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Redmond, WA is seeking a climbing arborist crew leader to direct and mentor a crew while providing professional tree care outdoors. The office is outdoors, with opportunities to advance through the company’s career development program.

Responsibilities include leading safety-focused operations, performing pruning, cable and lightning protection installations, and removing hazardous trees using multiple climbing systems.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred pesticide licenses and related certificates.
• Preferred ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®.

Responsibilities

• Climb Trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Safely lead a crew in arboricultural care for clients.
• Plan, assess hazards, obstacles, plan and equipment (H.O.P.E) process.
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees.
• Mentor crew members through Davey Career Development Program.
• Maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
