Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company seeks a climbing arborist to prune and remove trees, ensure safety, and maintain sites. You will use various climbing systems and work with a ground crew to deliver high-quality tree care services in Kent, WA.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law

Responsibilities

• Climb Trees and operate climbing systems (DdRT/MRS, SRT/SRS).
• Crew collaboration with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform pruning, thinning and removal of deadwood in the canopy.
• Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection; remove hazardous trees.
