Job summary

Jobtailor in Idaho is seeking an Investment Accounting Associate responsible for managing client inquiries across investment accounting, asset classes, and financial markets while delivering accurate financial statements and analytics.

You will reconcile data using internal tools, collaborate with clients to improve their Clearwater experience, and ensure compliance through thorough documentation and processes.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of investment accounting, financial statements, amortization, interest income, and other accounting concepts.
• Familiarity with Accounting, Compliance, Risk, and Performance reports.
• Intermediate understanding of fixed income and equity investments.
• Basic knowledge of alternative security types preferred.
• Prior experience in finance and/or accounting.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or a Financial/Business-related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Navigate knowledge bases and documentation to proactively solve client queries and problems.
• Manage workflow using productivity and quality metrics, prioritizing high-importance or critical work.
• Participate in long-term team and client projects involving collaboration with internal teams.
• Handle complex client queries.
• Assist with training, development, and coaching of junior staff.
• Conduct oversight of junior staff work.
