Job summary

ABM Industries in Wilmington, NC is seeking a reliable Lead to coordinate facility operations, supervise a team, and ensure safety and adherence to standards in daily janitorial tasks. You will delegate assignments and train new hires while maintaining overall building cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, monitoring quality, liaising between field staff and management, and handling keys and access.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, GED, or college degree not required.
• Preferred: 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned work schedules and report barriers.
• Provide leadership and direction to team members.
• Maintain open communication between field employees and management and document client communications.
• Assist with daily and weekly work schedules.
• Oversee cleaning operations in the assigned building.
• Manage keys and access cards for the property.
• Report damaged or non-functional items.
• Oversee service requests in the building.
• Ensure quality of work and confirm completion with Area Manager.
• Provide training for new hires according to onboarding procedures.
• Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
• Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
