Job summary

Jonas Ridge Assisted Living in Newland, North Carolina is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Services staff member to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for residents, including general cleaning, restocking supplies and ensuring upkeep of the facility.

You will work with other staff to keep areas clean, manage cleaning supplies, and uphold resident privacy and safety policies while following facility procedures and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Eligible for hire with labor board and complete orientation per facility policy.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning of the facility, including floors, bathrooms, laundry facilities, porches, offices, and resident rooms.
• Maintain an uncluttered, clean, and orderly facility at all times.
• Notify management of furnishings in need of repair.
• Attempt to eliminate all unpleasant odors.
• Manage all paper supplies, including chemicals, paper products, and cleaning equipment.
• Empty and clean all trash cans located throughout the facility.
• Take inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when orders are necessary.
• Work cooperatively with all other staff members and be courteous to family members and residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident's information.
• Know the facility emergency plans and understand your role in emergencies.
• Respect residents' rights and enable exercise of those rights.
• Use equipment for its intended purpose and minimize waste.
• Keep cleaning supplies and storage areas locked when not in use.
• Maintain supervision of the cleaning cart while out on hall.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our residents, including performing general cleaning duties, restocking supplies, and ensuring the overall upkeep of our facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning of the facility, including floors, handrails, bathrooms, laundry facilities, porches, offices, and resident rooms
