Job summary

AECOM is actively seeking a Civil Transportation Engineer IV for employment in the Transportation Business Line based out of our Chelmsford office. The responsibilities include leading mid- to large-size projects, providing technical input, and ensuring quality control.

Ideal candidate holds a BA/BS with six years' experience and preferably MA PE license, with experience on MassDOT projects and proficiency in Civil 3D/OpenRoads.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree plus six years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• Preferred MA PE license or ability to obtain; other New England PEs beneficial.
• Direct experience on MassDOT Design Build projects as a Roadway Discipline Lead or key contributor to the final design.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads to support projects in New England.

Responsibilities

• Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Approves and signs off on work.
• Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
• Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
• Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
• Participates in development of technical proposals.
• Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
