AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only networking event in Boston for an Entry-Level Civil Engineer in our Transportation Business Line. This position supports the Highway Design team at the US Boston office, with a hybrid work model and opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027.

The role combines design work, data analysis, and collaboration with a broad global team. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; EIT/FE preferred; familiarity with AutoCAD or MicroStation is helpful.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering plus none or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred.
• Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software; proficiency with CAD tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Builds analytic and design skills.
• Conducts engineering design for State DOTs performing highway and roadway geometric design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems; Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads are typical design tools.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
