Job summary

LND Technical Services LLC seeks a Civil Structural Engineer to support utility-scale power projects across the U.S., including substations and renewable facilities. Travel is frequent, with collaboration across design, field, and construction teams to ensure compliant, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of progressive civil/structural design experience focused on high-voltage substations (69 kV-500 kV).
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state with ability to obtain additional licenses via reciprocity.
• SE license candidates will be considered.
• Experience stamping deliverables and acting as Engineer of Record.
• Proficiency in ASCE, AISC, ACI, NESC, IBC and IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead structural analysis and design of foundations (shallow & deep).
• Design steel structures (lattice towers, substations, bus supports) and concrete structures.
• Develop site grading, drainage, SWPPP, spill containment and erosion controls.
• Produce calculations, drawings, specifications and reports for PE stamping.
• Coordinate with electrical/geotechnical/SCADA teams to resolve conflicts.
• Review vendor/shop drawings, submittals and RFIs; provide field support.
