Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Lead Civil-Structural Engineer to deliver expert technical leadership across planning, analysis, and project execution in a hybrid environment in the Carolinas and Indiana. You will mentor engineers, ensure code compliance, and drive long-term system improvements.

The role requires a BS in engineering with ABET accreditation and a PE license, with 8+ years of relevant experience; an MS can substitute for the BS. Travel and power plant exposure are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program and PE license.
• Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S.

Responsibilities

• Provides Civil-Structural engineering/technical expertise and guidance on complex problems.
• Plans, estimates, schedules, and monitors work with limited standardization.
• Prepares detailed technical reports, calculations, and sketches; conducts analyses and recommends process improvements.
• Leads complex projects, disseminates knowledge, and mentors other engineers.
