Job description

Develop Civil & Structural design from the Conceptual Stage through the Detailed Design Stage, providing sustainable and efficient solutions.

Involve in the Design and Development of the following for Greenfield and/or Brownfield large Oil and Gas Projects:

1. Establish Design Basis, technical specifications/philosophies, work scope/tender documents/narratives
2. Review design of Plant layouts, roads, drainage systems, etc.
3. Checking Calculations, General Arrangement, Detail Drawings, 3D Models and MTO
4. Guide/review design of different types of concrete and steel structures and develop engineering calculations for structures like Pipe racks/ Pipe bridges, Sleepers
5. Process structures/Equipment support structures
6. Equipment foundations such as Heat Exchangers, Vertical & Horizontal Vessels/drums, Columns/ Towers, very large Tanks, Spheres, etc.
7. Dynamic load structures of Compressor & Pumps
8. Equipment Shelters, Plant Buildings like Control Room, Substation buildings, Admin blocks, Site Camps, Blast resistance design of Buildings and Structures
9. Review and interpretation of Topographical and Geotechnical reports
10. Review and Design of UG services design, Architectural Design, Modularization Design, and Prefabricated buildings
11. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., BS, AISC, ACI, ASCE, Client Specifications)
12. Evaluate supplier/subcontractor technical bids for compliance to internal & client specifications and scopes of work
13. Review of vendor drawings/other discipline drawings for adequacy of Civil design input requirements
14. Optimize design solutions to meet budget constraints without compromising quality and safety
15. Prepare & Review Civil materials technical reports, Method statements, and Vendor Technical Clarifications and prepare Technical Bid Evaluation reports

Expected:

• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering as a minimum
• Experienced in coordination of the satellite office teams and managing the productivity and quality
• Hands-on experience in industry software, such as STAAD Pro Connect Edition, Mat 3D, Foundation 3D, PROKON, 3D Model Review Tools (SPR & Navis Works), MS Office Suite, etc.
• Must be self-motivated, results-oriented, multi-tasking and flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team environment
• Able to communicate in English both in verbally and writing with other disciplines & multinational work forces in effective manner
• Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods
• Knowledge of inter-discipline coordination
• Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved
