Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd, in partnership with a respected multi-discipline architecture/engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for their civil/site engineering group in Buffalo. Lead diverse civil and site projects across New York State, shaping the department and mentoring junior staff.

You will oversee site plans, grading, drainage, utilities, roadways and stormwater management, collaborating with clients and authorities to secure permits and approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Six+ years of site design experience; eight–ten years preferred; NYS PE license.
• Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and watershed modelling tools (TR-55, TR-20, HydroCAD, Hydraflow Express).
• Experience with NYS stormwater management and SWPPP; SEQR/environ. assessment knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to mentor staff.
• Knowledge of local utility standards; CPESC/LEED AP/ENV SP advantageous.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop and oversee site plans, traffic layouts, roadways, parking, utilities, grading and drainage.
• Delegate tasks to junior staff and review plans, specs, reports and cost estimates.
• Perform technical and quality reviews; act as Engineer of Record for projects under supervision.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients and agencies to secure permits and approvals across NYS.
