Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead our Civil/Site team in the Lansing, MI area. The role oversees project management, budgets, client relations, and the technical design tasks for civil projects across warehousing, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

You will mentor junior staff, drive schedules, ensure quality control, and coordinate with regulatory agencies while maintaining profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• 8+ years of related experience.
• Professional licensure (P.E.) in a related field is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Experience in land development commercial and industrial development projects is required.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ability to mentor junior staff to enhance their design skills.
• Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail with exceptional analytical and judgment capabilities.
• Construction oversight, preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Knowledge of local city, county, and state land use processes and regulations.
• Advanced technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading, and other site development-related designs.
• Dedicated, responsive, and organized.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to comprehend written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Responsabilités

• Oversee project design tasks and ensure technical accuracy and documentation.
• Manage design development including grading and drainage for civil projects.
• Coordinate site visits, ordinance reviews, and responses with agencies.
• Ensure quality control for all project documents.
• Identify problems, evaluate options, and propose solutions.
• Develop project schedules and construction timelines.
• Handle multiple projects and deadlines with efficiency.
• Prepare scopes, schedules, and change orders; manage invoicing and profitability.
• Able to lead engineers on a team and mentor junior staff.
• Maintain client engagement with status updates and discussions.
• Ensure AutoCAD standards are followed in outputs.
