Colliers Engineering & Design in Rochester, NY is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead multiple projects and train staff. Responsibilities include project management, client relations, and profitability across civil/site design tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license, 8+ years in civil engineering, and experience in land development. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 8+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Experience in land development.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D; ability to mentor junior staff to enhance design skills.
• Knowledge of local city, county, and state land use processes and regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical accuracy and documentation on plans, reports, and design documents.
• Manage and review design tasks including planning, grading, and drainage designs to ensure value engineering.
• Perform ordinance review, utility research, and site visits during construction.
• Quality control for project documents.
• Develop project schedules and construction timelines.
• Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Prepare scopes, schedules, and change orders.
• Perform financial management including invoicing and profitability.
• Lead other engineers and mentor staff.
• Manage client communications and status updates.
• Ensure AutoCAD procedures are followed.
