Actalent is seeking a Civil Project Manager for land and site development in Spartanburg, SC. You will own projects from design through construction, stay technically involved, and work directly with clients and regulators.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of civil engineering experience, a PE or EIT with PE path, and hands-on AutoCAD Civil 3D skills to lead grading, drainage, and utility design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) aiming to advance to PE license.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Approximately 8+ years of civil engineering/design experience.
• Strong background in land development and site development.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience designing: Grading, Storm drainage, Water systems, Sanitary sewer, Site utilities.
• Knowledge of stormwater hydraulics and hydrology.
• Experience navigating permitting and regulatory approval process.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Confidence communicating directly with clients, contractors, and reviewing agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/site development projects from planning and design through permitting and construction.
• Develop site designs involving grading, storm drainage, water, sewer, and utilities.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop and refine designs.
• Prepare grading plans, drainage reports, engineering calculations, and construction documents.
• Lead permitting and coordinate with local and state regulatory agencies.
• Prepare technical specifications and bid documents.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Work directly with clients, contractors, engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support construction through site visits, field observations, and contractor coordination.
• Guide engineers and designers while maintaining ownership of overall project execution.
• Identify design challenges early and develop practical solutions.
