The Bobbitt Group seeks a Licensed Professional Engineer to lead site and civil design, permitting, and project coordination for commercial NC projects. You will own civil scope from concept through approval and construction, collaborating with project teams, owners, and consultants.

The ideal candidate has a PE license in NC, 5–10 years of site/civil experience, and strong skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater, and municipal reviews.

Formación

• Active PE license in NC or eligibility for comity with an active license in another state.
• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–10 years of commercial site/civil design experience (grading, utilities, stormwater).
• Working knowledge of NC stormwater requirements and Triangle UDOs.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam.
• Demonstrated project management experience (coordination, scope, schedule, budget).
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication for owner, agency, and records.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and direct site layout, grading, drainage, utility, and erosion control plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Perform stormwater design/review per NC state requirements and local ordinances.
• Evaluate site feasibility early (zoning, access, utilities, stormwater) to reduce risk.
• Review civil drawings for constructability, coordination, and cost impact.
• Seal and sign civil documents within scope.
• Manage site plan/UDO/submittals through municipal review and meetings.
• Coordinate NCDEQ, NCDOT, utilities, and jurisdiction permits/approvals.
• Track review comments and resubmittals; inform project team on schedule exposure.
• Manage civil consultants, surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and other partners.
• Prepare/review RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and Procore project correspondence.
• Support preconstruction with civil scope input, quantity reviews, and budget guidance.
• Provide field support during construction (site visits, as-builts, permit close-out).
• Mentor engineers and staff on site design and permitting strategy.
• Develop standards, checklists, templates, and SOPs for consistent permitting/design.
