Job summary

Jobot seeks an experienced Civil Engineer (PE) to lead engineering design on municipal, industrial, and land development projects in St. Louis, MO.

This on-site consulting role rewards ownership of projects from concept through construction. You will prepare construction drawings, coordinate with clients and agencies, and contribute to proposals and business development, with strong emphasis on technical excellence and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience in civil design for municipal infrastructure, industrial projects or land development.
• Ability to prepare complete civil designs and construction-ready plan sets.
• Proficiency with CAD software including AutoCAD Civil 3D or Carlson.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design projects for municipal infrastructure, industrial development, and land development.
• Independently develop construction-ready drawings, calculations, and reports.
• Prepare site development plans including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater.
• Perform analyses to support site design and infrastructure development.
• Use design software to produce detailed construction documents and plan sets.
• Coordinate permitting with agencies and manage client reviews.
• Develop project cost estimates and support budgeting.
• Engage with clients, municipalities, contractors, and surveyors throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve engineering challenges during design and construction.
• Support proposals, scopes of work, and business development.
• Oversee projects from planning through closeout.
