Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Civil Engineer to lead land development projects from concept through construction. Based in Pennsylvania, you will work with a seasoned team to deliver site design and stormwater solutions while coordinating with agencies and clients.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, EIT, and proficiency with Civil 3D and MS Office. PADEP permitting experience is preferred, with a local advantage for Somerset or Greensburg, PA projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT required; PE preferred or on track.
• 5+ years of experience with land development/site design.
• Experience with PADEP permitting processes is preferred.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and MS Office; familiarity with HydroCAD or similar stormwater tools; HEC-RAS a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed civil engineering design for land development projects (site layout, grading, stormwater, erosion control, utility design).
• Support feasibility studies, due diligence, and zoning/code reviews.
• Prepare design plans, specs, estimates, calculations, and reports.
• Assist with permitting and agency coordination; respond to comments.
