Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer for our Madison, WI and/or Lakewood, CO offices to lead civil and environmental engineering projects within the Earth & Environment Team. You will work on energy and waste sectors, with possible involvement in mining, industrial, and transportation projects, and will collaborate across geotechnical and environmental efforts.

You will prepare construction documents, analyses, data visualizations, and reports, ensuring adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and civil design.
• Professional Licensure/Certification.
• Ability to make technical computations and calculations involving engineering principles, plans, specs, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and environmental engineering projects with focus on energy and waste industries.
• Prepare construction plans, specs, and cost estimates; coordinate with owners and clients.
• Write and review reports ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and assist with project scoping and planning.
• Ensure health and safety plans (HASPs) are developed and followed.
