Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to join our Facilities team, delivering high‑performing facility and infrastructure projects across multiple sectors. The role supports site civil design from concept through construction and aims to grow toward leading projects with senior mentorship.

Location options include Boise, ID, Madison, WI, or Minneapolis, MN. You will work with multidisciplinary teams and engage in regulatory coordination, permitting, and project ownership to drive successful

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Ability to perform work requiring independent judgment and adaptation of engineering principles.
• Experience in land development, municipal utility design, water resources or environmental engineering.
• Proficiency in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrologic analysis, grading, and site development design.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Self-management and client relationship development interest.

Responsibilities

• Perform site civil design including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management for facility projects.
• Develop design solutions using AutoCAD Civil 3D and terrain modeling tools to support 3D coordination and visualization.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, clients, and contractors.
• Support permitting and regulatory agency coordination.
• Assist with construction administration and respond to field questions as needed.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to overall project success.
• Apply WSP’s QA/QC processes and engineering judgment per codes and standards.
• Grow toward leading projects with guidance from senior engineers.
