Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr

Location: United States – Remote

Package: $125,000 – $175,000 + Bonus + Equity

The Opportunity

This is not just a technical leadership role – it’s your chance to shape the Civil/Structural discipline in a business that is scaling fast and is already delivering at national level.

This is also a clear Equity play with the opportunity to earn multiple 7 figures at exit.

You’ll be the go-to Subject Matter Expert for all things Civil and Structural, supporting some of the most exciting solar and storage projects in the U.S. You’ll work cross-functionally with origination, permitting and construction teams and will be a key player in how projects are assessed, designed and delivered.

From grading, drainage and stormwater management to pile foundations and tracker structures – your expertise will ensure that every site is not just buildable, but bankable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead site assessment, feasibility studies and civil/structural strategy for solar and BESS projects.
• Take charge of site layout design, grading, drainage, access roads, and stormwater management using AutoCAD/Civil3D.
• Design pile and foundation systems for trackers, control rooms, inverters and switchgear.
• Ensure compliance with IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, and local/state codes.
• Manage permitting process and interface with local authorities.
• Mentor junior civil and structural engineers and help evolve internal design standards.
• Conduct QA reviews, technical troubleshooting and construction support throughout execution.
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless design-to-construction transitions.

Your Background

• 10+ years of civil/structural engineering experience, ideally in solar, BESS or substation infrastructure.
• Licensed PE (Civil or Structural); dual license highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of tracker systems, load calculations and site optimisation.
• Proficiency in Civil3D, AutoCAD, HydroCAD, and structural tools like STAAD or RISA.
• Able to lead from the front – not just technically sound, but commercially aware and collaborative.
• Entrepreneurial mindset – you thrive in fast-paced, agile environments where you can influence the direction of a company and grow with it.
