Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Manager to direct field operations on a major Texas project. You will coordinate crews, inspectors, and multiple construction disciplines to keep work moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

A heavy civil background and hands-on leadership style are essential. Qualified candidates bring 7+ years in heavy civil construction and 3+ years in a superintendent or similar leadership role, with a degree in Civil

Qualifications

• 7+ years of heavy civil construction experience.
• 3+ years in a Superintendent, Construction Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Background in grading, utilities, concrete, foundations, pile construction, highways, or high-tech infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction standards and specifications.
• Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble ProjectSight, or similar tools is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily civil field operations and track progress, productivity, and schedule performance
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, inspectors, and multiple construction disciplines
• Oversee work quality and confirm it meets project specifications and applicable standards
• Manage mobilization, site logistics, labor, materials, and equipment
• Monitor field costs and address issues before they disrupt progress
• Enforce OSHA and project safety requirements
• Resolve field challenges and keep work aligned with project milestones
