Job summary

Nugget-Casino-Resort's Chophouse is seeking a Master Cook for a full-time swing shift in Sparks, NV. You will accurately and efficiently cook meats, seafood, vegetables, soups, and other hot items, and prepare garnishes for plates.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years Cook III experience, a High School diploma, and the ability to read and execute recipes. Alcohol Awareness Certification may be required for certain outlets, and you must be at least 21.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1-3 years previous experience as a Cook III.
• Ability to read and execute recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
• Identify and safely operate equipment and prep both hot and cold items.
• Maintain quality and portion control according to standards.
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of all food products and supplies at line stations.
• Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portions and recipe specifications.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and follow kitchen procedures.
