Qualifications

• Clear Portable Background Check (PBC) before hire
• Safe Sleep for Infants Training completed or on file
• Mandated Reporter Training completed or on file
• TB test within the last 12 months
• Proof of MMR on file

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, nurturing, and safe environment that supports growth and exploration
• Maintain professional attitudes and loyalty to the school at all times
• Interact with children to encourage involvement in activities
• Plan and implement the daily program based on an emergent curriculum
• Maintain child-to-staff ratios and keep children within visual/auditory range
• Communicate with parents daily and with monthly newsletters
• Attend staff meetings and training as required
• Assist the director in explaining the program to visitors and others
• Create a clean, orderly, and appealing classroom environment
• Meeting the needs of every individual child enrolled
• Partner and communicate with parents to provide the best care and education

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or ECE credits
