Job summary

Guidance Preparatory Academy is seeking a Lead Teacher to guide a lively early childhood classroom in Roanoke, TX. You will plan and lead engaging activities, support families, and mentor junior teachers during a Monday–Friday shift from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Compensation is $16 per hour, commensurate with experience and education.

Qualifications

• Passion for education and love of children.
• Energetic and able to multi-task in a busy classroom.
• Strong communication with parents and team.
• Leadership and mentoring of assistant teachers.

Responsibilities

• Lead teacher in a child-centered classroom, creating engaging learning moments.
• Plan and execute fun, out-of-the-box activities that support early learning goals.
• Foster relationships with parents through daily interactions and updates.
• Coach and mentor assistant teachers to build a strong teaching team.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive, safe learning environment.
