Job summary

The Dallas Independent School District is seeking a Supervisor of Child Find to oversee the daily operation of the evaluation program and guide staff through ARD processes.

Responsibilities include coaching evaluators, monitoring caseloads and referrals, ensuring compliance with PEIMS and state/federal laws, and collaborating with campus staff and families to support students with disabilities. The role also involves budget management, training development, and district-wide representation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Certification in Special Education or related field preferred.
• Evaluator credentials and supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the evaluation program.
• Coach evaluators to improve evaluation skills and IEP development.
• Monitor staff activities, caseloads, referrals, and report quality.
• Monitor PEIMS compliance and ensure timely evaluations.
• Develop, submit, and administer an approved budget for the department.
• Consult with campus staff, administrators, parents on special education rules.
• Collaborate with district departments on best practices in evaluation.
• Attend ARD meetings to present evaluation findings and recommendations.
• Maintain accountability documentation and stay current on trends.
