Job summary

North Royalton YMCA is seeking a Child Care Lead Teacher to administer and enhance the childcare program at designated YMCA sites in North Royalton, OH. Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma.
• Certification in CPR at the level of Basic Life Support or Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety of children by supervising program participants at all times and adhering to ratios.
• Plan, develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports as assigned.
• Maintain program records and staff files.
• Provide coverage and arrange substitutes as needed.
• Communicate with supervisor about parent concerns and center operations.
• Ensure supplies and equipment availability and safety.
• Administer First Aid when required and maintain a clean facility.
• Collaborate with supervisor on promotions and parent newsletters.
• Follow licensing requirements and develop positive relations with families.
